To apply to Teach and Travel China please check your eligibility and then follow the simple steps below. Applications must be made to BUNAC no less than ten weeks before the intended UK departure date.
Eligibility
To apply to Teach & Travel China, you must be:
- A permanent resident of the UK
- Aged at least 19
- Educated to A Level standard
- Able to demonstrate excellent command of spoken and written English
- Interested in Asian culture
- Adventurous, flexible, a good communicator and outgoing.
1: Send the following application documents to BUNAC:
- Downloaded application form
- Your current CV
- Copy of your passport and birth certificate
- Four passport photos
- Signed Terms and conditions
- Refundable £405 programme deposit (includes £5 BUNAC membership fee).
The balance will be due eight weeks before the departure date. If you are submitting your application within 12 weeks of the departure date, you must send the full programme cost straight away with your initial application.
2: After reviewing your application BUNAC will allocate you an online account. Here you will be able to complete your personal details as well as an English test. You will also need to return 2 completed references, education certificates and a hand written personal statement.
3: Attend an Orientation Interview to discuss all aspects of the programme ensuring that you are fully prepared for your trip. Following a satisfactory interview, BUNAC will formally accept you onto the programme.
4: BUNAC will liaise with our local partner to begin arranging your trip. We will also help you with the following:
- Applying for a CRB
- Completing a Medical form: All participants are required to visit their GP to discuss their trip. BUNAC will provide a specific medical form which must be completed by the participant and their doctor prior to travel
- Booking Flights: We can arrange group or individual flights to suit your needs
- Buying Insurance: We will send you full details regarding the levels of cover we provide
- Arranging your visa: The visa application will be made by BUNAC on your behalf. We will provide you with the appropriate application forms and completion guidelines.
